Seasonal planning 2027

Ramadan in Dubai.
Plan with care and flexibility.

A visitor checklist for building a thoughtful trip around a changing seasonal calendar—without relying on dates or opening hours that have not been confirmed.

Dates and schedules are not confirmed here. Ramadan follows the Islamic lunar calendar, and exact dates depend on the official announcement. As of October 31, 2026, we have not verified an official 2027 start date or Ramadan-specific 2027 schedules for individual venues, restaurants or transport services. Recheck official sources before booking and again before travelling.

The short version

Dubai remains a destination to plan for during Ramadan, but the daily rhythm and venue schedules may differ from other parts of the year. Build a flexible itinerary, check each place directly for your dates, and make dining and transport plans around the hours that are actually published—not assumptions about the whole city.

This page is a seasonal planning checklist, not a calendar of confirmed 2027 events, legal advice, or a claim that a particular business will be open.

Before booking

Treat the calendar as provisional.

Do not lock a non-refundable plan around an estimated Ramadan start or end date. Follow the relevant UAE government announcement for the official dates, then confirm travel bookings, work leave and any event or activity dates against that announcement.

When comparing accommodation, consider flexible cancellation terms and the location’s fit for the places you actually plan to visit. The Dubai stay-area guide and stay-area quiz can help shortlist neighbourhoods, but verify each property’s current terms directly.

Shape each day loosely

Leave room for schedule changes.

  • Check opening times with each attraction, museum, tour operator and shopping destination for the exact date. Do not assume its usual hours apply during Ramadan.
  • Keep outdoor activities and long transfers adjustable; check the forecast and live transport information rather than relying on a fixed seasonal timetable.
  • Allow extra time around popular evening plans and choose a simple return route before heading out.
  • Use indoor attractions, rest breaks or a slower morning as alternatives if the day’s schedule changes.

Our Dubai transport guide explains the main options. Check the RTA timetable and journey planner for current service information.

Food and evenings

Confirm restaurant hours and reservations directly.

Restaurant and café schedules can be venue-specific and may change for the season. Check the restaurant’s own current hours, service arrangements and reservation requirements for your date. If you want to attend an iftar meal, book only after the venue confirms the time, menu, price and cancellation terms.

Do not assume that every restaurant follows the same schedule, that a listed opening time guarantees seating, or that a meal or event is included with an attraction ticket.

Local awareness

Follow current guidance and posted instructions.

Ramadan is a significant month for Muslims. Be considerate around worship and community spaces, follow posted venue guidance, and ask before photographing people. For questions about rules or public conduct, check current official UAE guidance rather than relying on social posts or generalizations.

Dress expectations and visitor instructions can vary by setting. Check the specific place’s guidance and choose respectful clothing, especially when visiting religious or cultural sites.

A useful recheck list

Verify these details close to your visit.

  • Official Ramadan start and end dates, once announced.
  • Opening hours, last entry, ticket conditions and any access changes at each planned venue.
  • Restaurant service hours, iftar reservation details and cancellation policy.
  • RTA schedules, route changes and the last practical connection for your return.
  • Any event dates, road arrangements or public guidance issued for your travel dates.

For updates, start with the Visit Dubai events calendar and official UAE government announcements, then confirm details with the venue or transport operator itself.

This planning draft was prepared October 31, 2026. A direct content check of the cited Ramadan pages did not return verifiable 2027 dates or venue schedules during drafting. We have therefore avoided date-specific predictions and venue-hour claims.
